About
Recognizing a long history of energy exploitation and extraction, GRID Tribal increases tribal communities' energy sovereignty by building locally sited and community owned solar systems. Increased energy access (and decreased reliance on outside utilities) helps tribal communities build resource ownership and economic opportunity in the process.
GRID’s Tribal Programs also partner with tribal colleges and workforce development programs to provide students with hands-on solar training and connections to local solar companies. GRID’s SolarCorps program also offers year-long paid fellowship opportunities.
HF Partnership
The Honnold Foundation is honored to partner with GRID Tribal as they continue to power and empower indigenous communities, and build a more equitable future for Tribal Nations.
